Five young professional opera singers perform a light opera at Bunnell for the general public and work in the schools to stage a fun storybook opera, such as Hansel and Gretel or Little Red Riding Hood. "Operamania "is a showcase of opera suitable for grades 4-12. A new opera, "The Three Little Pigs: will be offered this year, which is appropriate for younger ages. For high school aged-students, "Doctor Miracle" is also offered. Depending on the length of the residency, students can be involved in every stage of production from set design and construction, to bit parts in the opera, while the young professionals have the principal roles. They produce final performance open to the school community. The Studio Theater works well with student choirs as well and they give a strong demonstration of vocal techniques.
