"I have found that teaching marimba (large wooden xylophones) within the schools is a very effective way to reach children…The heart purpose of the Rufaro School of Marimba is to share and preserve the music of Zimbabwe and to nurture the self-esteem of each student. Our goal is to bring people increased health and happiness and to create a sense of global cooperation through the shared experience of traditional music."
